ReadyTech Tools & Features
Dozens of features created to optimize training experiences. And more to come.
Features Guide
Switching from in-person to virtual training can be a scary transition. Download this guide to learn which ReadyTech features were designed to replicate actual, in-person classroom interactions.
Virtual Classroom

Public Chat
Communicate back-and-forth in an easy way across the whole class and access the long chat history that builds up over a multiple day class. Use the built-in search functionality to find conversations in the chat history.

Engagement Monitor
Know when your students are involved in their lab exercises and when they are finished. You will get notified when there is no activity within the labs so you know when to start your next lecture.

Follow-Up Lists
Create tasks, lists and reminders to do later. Instructors typically use this to track student questions that require more research after class.

Screen Sharing
Instructors can share their desktop or any student desktop with some or all of the students, or allow a student to demo their desktop to the class.

Presentation Management
Store and maintain your entire curriculum of slides, polls, whiteboards, and documents to get your class started in no time.

Dynamic Messages
Create message templates that include variables like lecture start times, timers, and event information and share them repeatedly without having to recreate the message body.

Breakout Groups
Break out a class into smaller groups, allowing students to collaborate on case studies and lab exercises, resolve a challenge, and then present their group findings to the entire class.

Private Chat
Students can have one-on-one conversations with instructors or chat with other students. The instructor can control whether private chats can be held in their class.

Help Queue
Students can request help any time. The queue allows instructors to keep track of which students need help, how long they’ve been waiting, and prioritize assistance.

Whiteboard
In addition to drawing and writing, use the whiteboard to communicate flowcharts, process maps, IT configurations, or network architectures to students. It also allows you to load your own images.

Audio
Requires very little bandwidth and is specifically developed for training scenarios. With 3 audio modes, instructors have full control on how they want to handle audio in the class. Audio can be recorded for playback so students can catch-up.

Messaging
Instructors can send a pop-up message to all or selected students. An easy tool to let students know, for example, when there is a break or just a quick FYI that you want them to acknowledge.

Drawing Layer
Annotate and draw on your shared slides, whiteboard or desktop to get your point across. You can even allow the student to participate and allow them to make annotations as well.
Lab Management

Shadow / Control View
Instructors can take control of a student’s system with options to collaborate, lockout a student’s mouse and keyboard, or blank the student’s screen. Blanking the student’s screen is useful if the instructor is fixing the lab or entering information not to be shared with the student.

Run Command
The fastest way to get something done in the labs. Instructors can run executables, batch files, open applications, URLs and folders on all or selected systems without having to login to each system.

Lab Timer
Set a timer so students know how much time they have to complete their exercises. Students can indicate when they are finished with their exercise and track how long it took them.

Transfer Files
Transfer whole folder structures or just a single file to one or all students or receive files from students to centrally review them or take them offline.

Thumbnail View
In thumbnail view, instructors can see all of the students’ desktops simultaneously and know who is doing what and where they are in the lab exercise.

Submit Work
Allows students to submit their homework to instructors or to themselves, depending on how Submit Work is configured.

System Control
Restart, shutdown, and access control options on individual student systems or all student systems simultaneously.

Live View
Virtually walk through your classroom and watch what students are doing in their labs and take control whenever a student needs help. This feature will give you the same level of insight as you would have in a real classroom without having to walk around.

Inactivity Monitor
With your current online meeting tool, do you wonder if students are still working on their lab exercises or doing other, non-training related activities? With the inactivity monitor, you will get notified if a student is not active in the lab.

Block Access
Class is over for the day and you might want to block access to the lab, the course materials, or both, and open them up again in the morning. Block Access will give the instructor the level of control they are looking for.
Admin Portal

Create Course Templates
Define course templates for instructor-led and self-paced training. Templates can include course materials or hands-on labs or both.

All important information in one configurable dashboard making sure you stay on top of things.

Reports
Built-in reports that training managers want. Reports include instructor utilization, course-related reports and class-related reports.

Image Management
Your image or virtual machine information on a single screen. Add new or update existing images whenever you want.

Role Based Access
Role based access controls the accessibility and visibility of your data within your organization. Your training partners can schedule access to your labs and ReadyTech takes care of the billing so all parties pay for the labs they order while keeping your training delivery consistent across the globe.
Surveys, Tasks, Exams and Polls

Surveys
Ask students to complete surveys that give you insights into their backgrounds and training expectations, what they thought about the class, and assess student satisfaction levels before, during or after class.

Tasks
Provide task lists to students, then track when each task is completed. Tasks can be accompanied with sounds, images, and videos to keep your instructions engaging and improve task completion rates.

Exams
Build interactive quizzes and tests to gauge how well students are doing. For example, a short quiz at the end of a lecture can reinforce the lecture’s concepts and help you identify students that need help.

Polls
Collect opinions anonymously and have the option to share the results with the class. Polls are a great way to engage students and start discussions about a topic or get aggregated feedback on your training program and improve it as needed.

Assessments
Make classes more interactive with assessments. Results can be shared with students or kept private for certification purposes.
Materials Management

Course Templates
Add course materials to your course templates and set permissions allowing students to view, download or copy the content to their remote lab.

Ad-Hoc Materials Upload
Instructors can easily upload and share files with students. Permissions can be set on the files to protect your intellectual property.
