ReadyTech Corporation (“ReadyTech”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the Instructor-Led Training Portal (http://instructorled.training) and the Self-Paced Training Portal (http://selfpaced.training) website (the “Service”). We provide the Service to you on behalf of companies and organizations (“the Customer”) who use it to deliver training. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information (as defined below) when you use our Service.
ReadyTech is in the process of certifying that we comply with the U.S. – E.U. Safe Harbor framework and the U.S. – Swiss Safe Harbor framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal data from European Union member countries and Switzerland. We have received certification that we adhere to the Safe Harbor Privacy Principles of notice, choice, onward transfer, security, data integrity, access, and enforcement. ReadyTech has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the US-EU and US-Swiss Safe Harbor Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU SAFE HARBOR, operated by the Council of Better Business Bureaus. While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to, your name, your email address and phone number (“Personal Information”). In addition, we may ask for non-personally identifiable information such as your preferred language, time zone, and other personal preferences. Lastly we may ask for your opinions about the use of the Service. In most cases providing this information is optional.
We collect this information to provide and improve the Service. The information you provide is visible to our personnel and to representatives of the Customer.
When using our Service, representatives of the Customer, such as the course instructor, may ask you to complete course surveys, exams, games or polls as part of the training course. You also may decide to contribute content neither we nor the Customer has asked for. For example, you may want to collaborate with other people in the class through group or private chat, message boards, whiteboards, uploaded documents, etc. All such content you provide is visible by representatives of the Customer and, in many cases, by ReadyTech personnel. The Customer may use such course content to evaluate your progress and performance in the course.
We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service (“Log Data”). This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.
In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this type of information in order to increase our Service’s functionality. These third party service providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use Personal Information.
This log data is visible to our personnel and may be made available to representatives of the Customer. The log data is collected to help improve the Service and provide a deeper understanding of how users use the Service.
At the request of the Customer, we may collect detailed interaction data as you use the Service. This interaction data may include, but it is not limited to, which course documents you open, how much time you spend on each page of a document, how long you use the lab environment, which applications you use in the lab environment, and how often you contact support. This interaction data is visible to the Customer and our representatives. The interaction data is collected to provide the Customer and us with a better understanding of how users use the Service.
Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked. We do not support Do Not Track (“DNT”).
We may use third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service, to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.
These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
We will disclose your Personal Information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we believe that such action is necessary to comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement or to protect the security or integrity of our Service.
The security of your Personal Information is important to us. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Our Service is not intended to be used by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from such children. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a child has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers.
